Laura Schrockman

Laura Schrockman of Weirton died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the home of her daughter. She was born March 28, 1920, the daughter of the late John and Veronica Drag Zajac, She was married to her late husband John Schrockman for 57 years. Her sisters Stella Badal and two brothers, Julius and Emil Zajac and grandson Clayton Henry also preceded her in death.
She was an avid golfer and belonged to Seven Oaks Woman's Golf League and Mountaineer Golf Association.
Laura is survived by daughters Mrs Keener Debbie DeCaria of Weirton and Mrs George Carol Lee Porupski of Smithfield, PA; grandchildren Christopher and Conchetta Bell and Bryan and Heather Hsi; great grandchildren Carmen Riley Bell, Sophia and Eva Hsi, and Korbyn Henry.
By Laura's request there will be no visitation. Please come to celebrate her life at a Mass in her honor at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Weirton, on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 11AM.
Entombment will be at St Paul Cemetery Mausoleum, Weirton.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart of Mary Church or to the Hancock County Animal Shelter.
