Laura V. Hendershot

Laura V. Hendershot, 91, of Weirton, died Monday, April 21, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born February 4, 1912 in Burgettstown, PA, daughter of the late Charles Daugherty and Lorissa Virtue Lewis. Laura was also preceded in death by her husband Denzel Hendershot; two sons, Clarence and James;three brothers, Albert, Charles and Warren Daugherty. Laura was a homemaker and a member of the Kings Creek Union Chapel where she was a member of theLadies Aid. She is survived by sons Denzel Hendershot of Weirton and Charles Hendershot of Follansbee; three daughters Mrs. Harry (Doris) Wade and Mrs. David ( Barbara) Snyder of Weirton and Mrs. James (Sandra “Cookie”) Murphy of Paris, PA; sister Bessie Tirk of Butler, PA; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday with Rev. William Hammond presiding. Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kings Creek Union Chapel.
