Lewis ''Dan'' Beegle

Lewis “Dan” Beegle, 81, of Paden City, WV, formerly of Weirton, died Monday, November 03, 2003 at the Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV. He was born January 7, 1922 in New Martinsville, a son of the late George B. and Mae Stackhouse Beegle. He was also preceded in death by one sister. After 36 years of service, Dan retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as an electric motor inspector in the Open Hearth Department. Dan served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was a Protestant by faith, a member of the New Martinsville Moose Lodge and the WSX 25-Year Club. He is survived by his wife, Betty Spencer Beegle of Paden City; three sons Vernon Beegle and his wife Mary Ann of Weirton, Jeffrey A. Beegle and his wife Sandra of Wintersville, OH, and Larry R. Beegle of Myerstown, PA; one brother Gene Beegle of Sistersville, WV and one sister, Helen Nice of New Martinsville, WV. Dan also has five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2–4 and 7–9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00AM.
