Lloyd Lee Young, 81, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. Born April 5, 1933 in Steubenville, OH, he was a son of the late Frank William and Sarah Edna Kempton Young. He was also preceded in death by his son Robert Young who died in a 1989 car accident, brother Ralph Young and sister Jean Deavers. After 43 years of service, Lloyd retired from the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation where he worked as an instrument repairman. Following his retirement, he worked at State Park Motors and was a route driver for Newbrough Photo. He was a member of the Tri-State Harmonizers, a HAM radio operator, N8CCI and was an avid artist who painted several of the murals that you see in downtown Steubenville. Although he was an electrician by trade, Lloyd could fix just about anything that his friends needed done. Lloyd was a kind-hearted, sincere and giving person who will be missed terribly. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Theresa "Dolly" Brown Young of Wintersville, whom he married April 7, 1978; daughters Dr. Stephanie Young of Morgantown, WV and Patty (Keith) Houske of Franklin, TN; brothers Charles (Jane) Young of Richmond, OH, Paul (Marilyn) Young of Wintersville, Terry (Carol) Young of Richmond and Marty Young of Steubenville; sister-in-law Betty Young of Richmond; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday 4-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday. His nephew, Reverend Father Jason Glover will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton where Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Charity Hospice, P. O. Box 2483, Wintersville, OH 43953.

Not only was he a good man he was a wealth of information when you needed to ask about how to do something. He will be missed by us and many more.
