Louiemae and I have crossed paths throughout the last 25-30 years. She was my neighbor as an older teenager and I remember she and her husband Albert walking hand in hand to Isaly’s from our neighborhood. She was a coworker at Weirton Medical Center and we rode to work on the night shifts. Again, she was my mother’s neighbor in the Freedom Place Apartments. I remember many things about her, her devotion to family, church, friends, and the community. She was a dear friend to me and my family in the loss of our mother and step father. I remember her stories about the children in the nursery, her family, and friends. She was talented and shared her talents with her crocheting-many blankets for new borns babies and married couples. and a good cook. She never gave into the pressures around her-and always had a warm smile, kind word and hug to share. She was an inspiring Disciple of our Lord. I will miss Louie, but celebrate her life. Love, Diane
