Mrs. Ruiz, Kent and family…I was very sorry to hear about Mr. Ruiz’s death. I remember poking around the homes that he and my dad built together and marveling at how a couple of men could make something so sturdy and beautiful from scratch. I also remember him as a strong man who also managed to be kind. I’m glad I had a chance to know him, if only from a child’s perspective, and I wish all of you peace and comfort in this time of loss. Sincerely, Dave Mayfield
