louis lorello jr.
Louis Ford Lorello Jr., 71, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital at Montefiore, in Pittsburgh. Born January 9, 1945 in Weirton, he was a son of the late Louis F. Lorello Sr. and Daisy (Cuic) Lorello. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Marleen (Barker) Lorello. Louie retired from Weirton steel after many years of working in the blast furnace. He was one of the original thirteen members of the Barbarians Motorcycle Club when it was established in Weirton in 1964. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and loved going to junk yards, but most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately called him DoDo. He is survived by his five step-children, Jenny Mallicone Slates, Alesia (Bill) Rice, David (Francine) Mallicone, Renee Mallicone and Nanette Mallicone DeVecchis, all of Weirton; grandchildren Amanda, Tanner, Cole, Hailey, Manuel, Nik, Isaac, Gianna and Willow; great-grandchildren Taelor, Kendall, Nolan, Alika, Kyrah and Araya and brother Samuel Lorello. He is also survived by Ricky, Charlie and many other long- time friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM.   8. Louie, you were a good man with a good heart although I believe a lot of people didn’t realize that. You were very much a part of the fabric of the Weirton community. A legend of the down town or is it notorious, I can’t remember which. Now you and Coop can work on all those cars and trucks again and argue like all get out. You will definitely be missed by all your friends, especially the old ones. You were one of a kind. You are in a way better place and with the ones you love. Until we meet again.
