margaret hutchison

Margaret Ann (Peggy) Hutchison of Weirton passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Brightwood Center. She was 84 years old.

Born on October 12, 1939, in Clarion, PA., Margaret was a daughter of Francis Bish.

Everyone knew Margaret as an outgoing and very friendly individual. She enjoyed playing bingo at St. Joseph’s the Worker Church, Euchre at Blue Steel Bowling Lanes, and going out to eat whenever she had the chance.

Her family meant everything to her, she enjoyed watching them grow and being present at their gatherings, whoever may be hosting them for the evening.

She was quite a sports fan, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and often getting into heated discussions with her daughter Sherry, who just happens to cheer for the Browns.

Margaret was the Matriarch of the family; the love she instilled in her family and the life lessons she stressed will always keep her memory close and her love will never be too far from her family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd Eugene Hutchison who died on February 10, 2005, and infant son Dewayne Hutchison, son-in-law Ralph Jenkins, and brother-in-law Chris Markanton.

Left to cherish her love and memories are her daughters Patricia Jenkins and Sherry (Ben) Chapman all of Weirton, grandchildren Ian (Emily) Jenkins, and Shawn(Ashley) Jenkins, niece Joyce (Dane) Ivkovich, Keith, and Xavier Summers, great-grandchildren Quentin, Izick, Juliana, Khylee, Briella, and Jameson Jenkins, Madison and Mason Tober, and great-great-grandsons, Bradley, and Joshua Summers, sister Marion Markanton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit Margaret’s family on Friday, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday.

Margaret will be buried next to her husband Floyd at Paris Cemetery.
