Margaret Ann (Sis) Boyd

Margaret Ann (Sis) Boyd, of Weirton, WV passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Brightwood Center in Follansbee. She was 76 years old. Born on May 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Nemeth Kurensky. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Boyd who passed away on May 20, 2008, her brothers William and Joseph Kurensky and sister Helen Swartz. Margaret graduated from Weir High School and was employed for over thirty years with the Weirton Medical Center as a Medicare Billing Specialist. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Moose and Elks Lodge. Her family describes her as a “lady with a big heart.” Very direct in her being, known to be a little stubborn, but was known to all, an individual that did not mind giving you her opinion even if it was not sought. Her biggest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren spoiling them and making sure she kept them safe. In addition to finding her joy with her family, she enjoyed traveling. She traveled many times with friends and family taken them to different destinations throughout her life, especially circling the United States four times with her family. Left to cherish her memory with admiration and love is her best friend, her daughter Donita (Mark) Harris of Weirton, grandchildren Chelsie Harris (Joshua) Modro, Marlee Harris and her fiance’ Cole Wagner and great-grandchildren Everlee Lynne Wagner and Davina Lynne Modro.
