Margaret Garan

Margaret Garan, 88, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at her home. Born January 2, 1921 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Veronica Stimpak. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph Garan on September 23, 2008, sister Ann Stimpak and brothers Andrew, John, Mike, Paul and Joseph Stimpak.
Mrs. Garan was a wonderful homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church.
Margaret is survived by her son Richard Garan and his wife Lillian of Imperial, PA and daughter Dolores Rose of Weirton.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where Parastas Services will be held at 7:30PM. Final blessing will be held 9:30AM Monday in the funeral home followed by the 10AM Funeral Liturgy Monday, December 28 at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Ed Lucas will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 3116 Elm Street, Weirton, WV 26062.

Dolores, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She was a dear woman and i am glad to have had the opportunity to care for her. How blessed she was to have such a devoted daughter to provide her care. You are in my prayers. Shari.
