Margaret (Marge) Guatteri
May 24, 1923 ~ July 30, 2003
Margaret (Marge) Guatteri was born to George and Margaret McCulloch Heisey, on May 24, 1923 in Wheeling, WV. She had a brother George and three sisters Anna, Mary Ellen and Helen. In the 1930’s, Marge and her sister, Mary Ellen and their parents moved to Weirton.
Marge graduated from Weir High School in 1942. On April 30, 1945, she married Valentino Guatteri, whom she met in the eighth grade. Val worked for Plant Security for Weirton Steel and Marge took care of their home. They had one son, and three grandchildren. She was a member of the Cove United Presbyterian Church.
Marge Guatteri passed away on July 30, 2003, in Weirton, WV.
She is survived by her husband, Val, and her son Gregg and his wife, Kathy and their three children, Jaime, Brian, and Shawna Guatteri, all of Weirton, WV; a sister Mary Ellen Merkt of Port Charlotte, FL.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
