Margaret Moorhead Holman 81 of Weirton passed away August 1, 2004 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born September 29, 1922 in Wellsburg, WV, the daughter of the late Claude and Ethel Linkfield Carey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Thomas James Moorhead. Margaret was a retired Hancock County School Teacher working 35 years in Hancock County and 4 years at St Anthony’s School in Follansbee, WV. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weirton, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #147, Junior and Senior A.R.E.M.A., and was active with the Hancock County Retired School Employees. She is survived by her husband Russell Holman of Weirton, her son Tom Moorhead and his wife Darcy of Weirton, grandchildren Asheley and Brant Moorhead of Morgantown, WV, step son Ronald Holman and his wife Mary Ann of Follansbee, WV, step granddaughter, Alison Holman of Wooster, OH, brothers James Carey, of Weirton, Robert Carey of Columbus, OH, and sister Hilda Bricker of Weirton. Friends will be received on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday with Pastor David Fink presiding. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.
