Marge Melott

Marge Melott, 90, of Weirton died Thursday June 16, 2011, at the Weirton Medical Center. Born on March 23, 1921, in Chester, WV, Marge was a daughter of the late Carl and Thelma Craft Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William L. Melott and a sister, Alma Blake. Marge was a homemaker. She was a member of the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene, where she was the church organist for 61 years. She also was a member of the Hancock County Senior Center. Marge is survived by her niece and nephew with whom she made her home, Jim and Jackie Brandolino of Weirton and her sister, Betty Reed of Colliers, WV. Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Monday at the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene Colliers Way, 475 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV. The Reverend Dana Snodgrass will preside. Interment will follow at the Paris Cemetery, Paris, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in Marge's memory to the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene, 475 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062.
