mario magnone
Mario Magnone, 84, of Weirton, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009 at Serra Manor. Born April 21, 1925 in Belmonte Calabro, Italy, he was the son of the late Bonaventura and Theresa Magnone. He was also preceded in death by his wife Francesca Pulice Magnone on April 30, 2001 whom he married April 28, 1948, brother Giacomino Magnone and sister Edith Bruno. Mr. Magnone retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a millwright and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. This was the time of year when Mario truly enjoyed his garden. Mario is survived by his son Joseph Magnone and his wife Beth of Boston, MA; daughters Teresa �Terri� Cline and her husband David and JoAnn Brill all of Weirton and 4 grandchildren Jackie, Rebecca, Preston and Sarah. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-6 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where a prayer service will be conducted at 4PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.
