Marlene J. D'Andrea, 74, of Weirton, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born June 13, 1938 in Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel and Kathryn Bartolovich Altomare. She was also preceded in death by her husband Philip J. D'Andrea on January 30, 2008. Marlene spent most of her life as a homemaker, dedicated wife and mother. She worked for ten years at the Weirton Medical Center as a Nurse Assistant and was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Marlene enjoyed cooking for her family, was an avid bowler, Pittsburgh Steeler and Miami Heat fan. Mrs. D'Andrea is survived by her sons Michael (Candace) D'Andrea of Toronto, OH and Robert "Bob" D'Andrea of Weirton; daughters Debbie (Bernie) Zickefoose of Weirton and Lori (Ed) Dillon of Colliers, WV; brother Robert Altomare of Plantation, FL; sister Maryann "Babe" (John) Lesho of Weirton; six grandchildren William Michael, Sheena Marie, Kendal, Ashley D'Andrea, Edward Dillon, Jr. and Brandon Dillon and 2 great-grandchildren Ava and Alivia D'Andrea. Visitation will be held Thursday 2-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the D'Andrea family or the American Heart Association.
