Mary Alta Pettit

Mary Alta Pettit, 75, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her home. Born October 27, 1938 in Wheeling, WV, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Evelyn Hooper Pettit. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Carl and Timothy Pettit and sister Sandra Ross.
For 20 years, Mary served at the Assistant Manager for K-Mart in Weirton. She also worked for 10 years in the dietary department of the Weirton Geriatric Center. Mary leaves a legacy of being a good and faithful daughter to her mother, Evelyn.
Mary leaves behind two sisters, Carol Sandy of Weirton and Penny Fisher of North Dakota, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Mary's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
So sorry to hear about Mary Altas passing. I have many fond memories working with her at G.C.Murphy many years ago. Love & sympathy to her family!
