Mary Ann Moore
July 11, 1930 ~ January 17, 2006
Mary Ann (Gerbo) Moore, 75, of New Cumberland, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 in Allegheny General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Born July 11, 1930 in Steubenville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Ann N. Pasternak Gerbo. She was also preceded in death by her brother George N. Gerbo Sr. in 1994.
Mary Ann was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Weirton where she served on various committees and was a member and Treasurer of the Fidelity Class. She served on the board for the Weirton Senior Center; was past-president of the Weirton AARP Association where she was currently serving as Treasurer. She was also a caller for the Fun Seekers.
Surviving are beloved husband of 49 years, Billy Joe Moore of New Cumberland; son Nick Moore and his wife Penny of New Cumberland; daughters Priscilla Mavrich and her husband Phil of Coraopolis, PA, Debbie Hazlett and her husband Dwayne of Wellsville, OH and Gwen Myers and her husband Rob of Colliers, WV; sister Margaret “June” Pulice and her husband John of Weirton; sister in law Jean Gerbo of Weirton; brother in law Doug Moore of Largo, FL; grandchildren Bree and R. Charles Lawrence, Nickolas and Tracey Moore, Ryan Gregory, Derek Gregory, Miranda Morris, Kate Mavrich, Mike Mavrich, Jake Hazlett, Jessica Hazlett, Donna (Arango) Martini, Ricky Arango, Jeanelle and Courtney Myers; great granddaughter Melanie Moore and one on the way; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends who were blessed to have shared life with this very special person.
Friends will be received Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 11AM until the 12 Noon funeral services at the First United Methodist Church of Weirton. Interment will follow in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.

Bill and family, I”m greatly sorry for the lost of Mary Ann..I know the feelings will linger, but its great to now that she is in the arms of someone greater that US. May Christ be with each member of the family.
My deepest sympathy to you all — I had the pleasure of being on several bus trips with Mary Ann and found her to be a loving and delightful person to be around. I pray that Our Dear Lord will comfort and strengthen all of you in your loss. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
