mary babasina
Mary Babasina, 83, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born June 2, 1925 in Weirton, she was the daughter the late Michael and Margaret Sebestyen Zoltani. She was also preceded in death by her husband George "Babby" Babasina on March 4, 1999. Mrs. Babasina was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. Mary is survived by her son Michael Babasina and his wife Cindy; daughter Margaret Phillips and her husband Charles; brother Michael Zoltani all of Weirton; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, January 23, 2008 from 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 1PM Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will preside. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.   1. Dear marge and charlie, I just found out of your mother;s passing marge and our hearts go out to you at this difficult time. Ted says he will always have fond memories of how she treated him when he worked with her at thrift drug. Our prayers are with you and we will see you when we get back home. She loved each of you so very much and said so often. Im so sorry I couldn’t make the trip but I do love you all.

  3. Mike, Margaret, and all of the family. I am sorry I can not be there but Mary was very special to me as well as Babby. As friends of my parents and like parents to me; I will hold fond memories of all the times we spent together at holidays and at the lake as kids. Her help in the 80’s at the dinner theatre was with love and devotion. I can still hear her making her announcements.She was one special lady. I will miss her.
