Mary D. Palumbo

Mary D. Palumbo, 100, of Weirton passed away on August 15, 2019, at the Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV. A daughter of the late Dominic and Carmela Slate Palumbo, Mary was born on August 19, 1918, in Weirton, WV. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank and Tony Palumbo; her sisters, Angelina Palumbo-Pate, Stella Palumbo and Minnie Prodo. Mary retired from the Tin Mill of Weirton Steel. Even though Mary was quiet in nature, and preferred to be by herself, she cherished time with her family. She had a love for animals especially her cats. She was a member of Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. She will be remembered with love by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday 2 PM until time of services at 4 PM, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. The Reverend Father Babu Joseph Elamturuthil will preside.
