Mary D. Znoy

Mary D. Znoy, 86, of Weirton, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born April 10, 1916, in Port Homer, OH, the daughter of the late John Danchinsin and Mary Mohnacky Danchinsin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Znoy in 1981; and two sisters, Anna Popovich and Julie Palsa. Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. She was a charter member of the Weirton Hospital Company. Mary is survived by a daughter, Andrea Anderson of Weirton; one brother, John (Margo) Danchinsin, Jr. of Weirton; three grandchildren, Carolyn Anderson of Weirton, David Anderson of Smithtown, NY, and Donna Anderson of Moura Queensland, Australia; and two great grandchildren, Cynthia and Crista Anderson. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where a Parastas service will be held 8 PM Thursday. Blessing services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 26 at the funeral home, followed by 10 AM funeral services at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will be at Saint Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 3116 Elm Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
