Mary E. (DeCollo) LoPresti
June 2, 1923 ~ July 16, 2003
Mary E. (DeCollo) LoPresti, 80, of Weirton, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at her home. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nana who loved her family very much. She was born on June 2, 1923 in Weirton, a daughter of the late Tobia and Giuditta (Valenti) DeCollo. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Ann Wells; four brothers, Costantino, Anthony, Flavian, and Joseph DeCollo; and one sister, Carmella DeCollo.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton.
Mary is survived by her husband, Samuel J. LoPresti, whom she married on December 27, 1941; one son, Larry D. LoPresti; two daughters, Fran J. Sullivan and Chris Miller and her husband Harold; and son-in-law, William Wells, all of Weirton; nine grandchildren, David Wells, Doug Wells, Diane Kirkbride, Kristen Orris, Jason Miller, Jeff Miller, Deena Miller, Renee Presto, and Matthew LoPresti; and eight great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 12:30 PM Saturday at the Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
