Mary Elizabeth Taylor, 62, of Weirton, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 surrounded by her family in the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH. Born September 2, 1950 in Jonesville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Elsie Littlejohn Archie. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Angela L. Taylor and sister Rose Brown. For many years, Mrs. Taylor served as office clerk for Kroger's in Weirton. She attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Weirton. Mary is survived by the most important people in her life, her husband of 45 years, Charles E. Taylor, Sr.; son Charles E. Taylor, Jr. and his wife Leanna; daughter Frances Y. Spencer and her husband Gerard, Luann M. Rice and her fianc Alvin Hawkins, Sr. all of Weirton; brothers James Archie, Sr. and his wife Eva of Weirton and Roosevelt Archie and his wife Carla of Paris, PA; sister Ethel Lester and her husband Monte, Sr. of Weirton; 8 grandchildren, Bryant Spencer, Courtney Rice, Trenton Taylor, Terrian Rice, Donavan Spencer, Makaila Taylor, Sebastian Spencer and Ava Taylor a great-granddaughter Rhian Shinn and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 until the 11AM funeral service at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Reverend Willie Neville will officiate. Mr. William Sims, Sr. will serve as eulogist. Interment will be in Three Springs Cemetery, Weirton.
