Mary M. Klash
June 19, 1919 ~ February 18, 2008
Mary M. Klash, 88, of Weirton, went to be with our Lord, Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Brightwood Center. Born June 19, 1919 in Steubenville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Romey Smurda. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband Phillip Klash and brothers John and George Smurda.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She loved to play bingo, work in her garden and cook for her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her sons Robert and his wife Deborah Thompson Klash of Colliers, WV and Richard Klash of Weirton; granddaughters Stacey and Carie Klash of Colliers and sister Margaret Mazaris of Toronto, Ohio.
Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 10:30AM Thursday. Reverend Father Tony Thurston will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
