Mary M. Mrvos
January 29, 1920 ~ June 13, 2003
Mary M. Mrvos, 83, of Weirton passed away on Friday, June 13, 2003 at D & D Quality Care. She was born January 29, 1920 in Weirton, the daughter of Pauline Zatezalo Munyas of Weirton and the late George Munyas. Mary was preceded by her husband, Robert “Buzzie” Mrvos; brother, Rudy Munyas; and sister, Stella Grysko.
Mary was a homemaker, a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church, K.S.S. Vidovdan, VFW #2716 Ladies Auxiliary and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
In addition to her mother, Mary is survived by a son, Robert “Bob” Mrvos and her brother, George Munyas, both of Weirton; a sister, Pearl Zak Palanza of Boca Raton, FL. She also has 3 grandchildren, Stacy Mrvos and Robert Mrvos, Jr. both of Pittsburgh, PA, and Matthew Mrvos of Chicago, IL.
Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 – 3:00 and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 16. Rev. Fr. Rade Merick will preside.
Burial will follow at the Serbian Cemetery, Weirton.
