Mary Musick of Weirton, WV, was born to Mike and Helen Skrada Maczko on January 23, 1917 in Morgantown, WV. She grew up in the Morgantown, WV area with three brothers, Paul, Mike, and John and two sisters, Ann and Helen. On July 18, 1936, she married John Musick. They moved to Weirton in the 1940’s when John worked in the mill. They moved back to Morgantown, where her husband worked in the coal mines, and then in the 50’s back to Weirton. John worked in the blast furnace and Mary took care of their home, where she loved to bake and sew. They had one son Robert, and two grandchildren, Jennifer and John Michael Musick. They were members of the Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. On August 2, 2003, Mary passed away, in Calcutta, OH. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Musick of Weirton; her son Robert of Weirton; and her granddaughter Jennifer Reynolds, and her husband, Jack; Her sisters, Ann Smith of Weirton, and Helen Stefancin, of Uniontown, PA. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where Parastas service will be at 7:30 PM. Blessing Service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 AM Wednesday,at the Saint Mary’s Byzantine Church, Weirton. Rev Fr. Ed Lucas will preside.
