Mary S. Adams

Mary S. Adams, 89, formerly of Weirton, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 in the Euclid Hospital, Euclid, Ohio. Born June 28, 1921 in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina Salvi Rossi. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Adams, brother, Henry Rossi, sister, Pauline Giarletto and grandson, Robert (Chip) Fumich.
Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed a card club with family and friends for many years and was also an active member of the PTA. Mrs. Adams was an avid gardener who loved to cook for her family and friends. She always took great pride in her home. Due to long standing health issues, she had resided at the Slovene Home for the Aged in Cleveland, Ohio for the past four years where she had endeared herself to the staff and residents.
She is survived by her son Roger Adams of Weirton, daughter, Cynthia Fumich and her husband Dr. Robert Mark Fumich of Gates Mills, OH, sister Judy Muscaro of Weirton and grandchildren Trenton Fumich, also of Gates Mills and Ranjita (Jita) Fumich of New York City.
Friends will be received Friday, March 18, from 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where a Prayer Service will be held at 8:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.

Cindy, Rodger and all of Mary’s Family, I wanted to send you my deepest sympathy. I just heard and feel terrible. We loved “Little Mary” and Joseph was just heartbroken when I told him.
