Melvin Joseph Andlinger

Melvin Joseph Andlinger,75, of Wheeling, WV died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Melvin was born to Melvin William "Tony" and Alma "Sue" Patterson Andlinger on December 8th, 1944, in Wheeling, WV.
Melvin graduated from Wheeling High School and served in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Wheeling College, earning his degree in Accounting. He retired with over twenty years from Wheeling Electric (AEP), where he worked as an accountant.
Mel enjoyed cutting his grass on his John Deere tractor. He cherished the times he spent in Ocean City, Maryland, with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was cheering on the WVU Mountaineers and going out to eat at Outback Steakhouse and Keg and Kraut.
Most of all, Melvin will be remembered for the love he had for his family.
In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Andlinger.
He will be remembered with love by his wife of 47 years, Karen Thomas Andlinger, his son, Ty (Julia) Andlinger, his daughters, Dawn Andlinger, and Tiffany (Bryan) Mularcik.
Private family visitation was held at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
