Meta "Meme" Ann Grimes, 61, of Colliers, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on March 7, 2014.
Born July 2, 1952 in Steubenville, OH, Meme was a daughter of Wanda Jean (Gump) Six and the late John Wesley Six.
Meme was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and her yearly trips to Disney World. Meme was Christian by faith and a friend to many.
Meme is survived by her loving husband at home, Donald H. Grimes; son, Donald E. Grimes of Weirton; daughter, Michelle Birden and her husband Howard of Toronto, OH; brother, John Mikel Six of Weirton; 5 grandchildren, Dustin, Erika, Kristopher, Matthew, and Erik; 3 great-grandchildren, Khloe, Kristian, and Sahvanna; and her 2 cats that she held very dear to her heart, Missy and Maggie.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 6-8PM and Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 9AM until the 11AM funeral service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV with the Reverends Robert and Betty Shields officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
Buster, we are so incredibly sorry for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts & prayers during this most difficult time. Please find comfort knowing she is always with you. May Meta forever rest in peace.
