  17. We very much enjoyed knowing Michael these past 10 or 11 years and so enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor. He was most welcoming of our daughter, Kristen into his family when she married his nephew Brian. We are grateful for his generosity of spirit, his kindness and civility. We wish we could have had more time in his presence, but know that he is with the angels and is one with them. We hope that our respect and admiration of Michael is of comfort to his mother, Vi, and her family.

  19. This seems so surreal. Michael was the truest of friends. His sense of humor never quit, he could’ve been a stand up comic. He was the glue for our class reunions (MHS class of 1973). His handmade cards were always special to me… he was so creative and artistic. Michael will be always be in my heart and those of whom he touched. I love you, Michael. My sincerest sympathies to Michael’s family. Missing you….

  20. How saddened I am to hear of Michaels passing. We worked together for many years at Kaufmann’s / Macy’s. He was my specialist for Nautica. He always made me laugh. My time spent with him was always enjoyable. Mrs. Petrisak, I know first hand how much he loved you and his aunt. He will be missed. Kathleen Battista Nautica

  22. To Vi, Linda and the entire family, Michael was not only a devout Catholic and dear friend to Sacred Heart of Mary Parish – he was a dear friend to me. His compassionate nature and loving demeanor helped my family through a rough period when our beloved Golden Retriever died. I can remember his visits when our dog would smell like Polo for two days because of Michael’s hugs! My husband always knew when Michael had been to the office….we loved it. Michael always made you feel like you were special and he hugged and kissed everyone! I loved laughing with him and will miss his visits to the office – he had a way of brightening your day with just his presence. His big smile, his laugh and his friendship will live on in my mind and heart forever. I am so deeply sad for your loss.

  28. Mrs. Petrisak, Linda, Kathy and families, When Aunt Julie told me that Michael had passed away, I was, literally, speechless. ( I know, hard to believe. Me, speechless.) 29. I am so sorry to hear that Michael passed away… and just as I was in the process of trying to find him and reconnect. I knew him in Denton, TX, first as my hair stylist and later as my boss when I went to work for him at Personal Hair Design as the receptionist. He was a wonderful friend with a ready smile and a keen sense of humor. He went on to Neiman’s and I graduated UNT and moved away, but I always remember Michael with great fondness. I had hoped to find him and give him a ‘blast from the past’ call which I knew would make him laugh that hearty laugh of his. My sympathies go out to the Petrisak family. Your brother and son was a wonderful person who lit up many lives with his joy and humor and generousity of spirit. He will be missed.
