Michael S. "Mickey" Macaluso, 84, of Weirton, WV died Friday August 28, 2015, at the Acuity Specialty Hospital, in Weirton. Born on November 8, 1930, in Sewickley, PA, Michael was the son of the late Samuel and Catherine Corcoran Macaluso. Mickey as he was known to his family and friends grew up in Sewickley, PA. He graduated from Sewickley High School, and later from Duquesne University. He served in the United States Air Force and took part in the Berlin Airlift. His career in radio and television brought him to Weirton, where eventually he raised his family. His career spanned 40 years with radio and television sales, ending with his retirement, as an account executive with WTRF TV. Mickey was always his happiest when he was with his family. He enjoyed watching his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams and the WVU Mountaineers. He was also known for his love of golf. His family vacations to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas will always be a cherished memory. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Holy Name, and the American Legion Post 10. He is survived by his wife, Marian Bernola Macaluso ; his two sons, Michael and Teresa Macaluso and Brian and Judy Macaluso all of Weirton; his two daughters, Jennifer and Mark Banda of Cannonsburg, PA, and Julie and Jamie Lesho of Weirton, WV; his sister, Camilla Peel of Sewickley, PA; his grandchildren, Erin, Nicholas and Christian Banda, Brandon , Marissa Ross and Alayna Macaluso ; nephews, Jim and Dave Peel and their families; many other nieces and nephews; and his grand puppies, Max, Millie and Joey. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Anthony Thurston will preside. Interment will follow at Saint Paul Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart of Mary Church 200 Preston Avenue weirton, WV 26062
