Mike Sciarrino
August 6, 1933 ~ October 31, 2005
Mike Sciarrino, 72, of Weirton, passed away Monday, October 31, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 6, 1933 in Weirton, he was the son of the late Vito and Concetta DiAntone Sciarrino. Mike was also preceded in death by a son Michael in December 1955, brother Joe Sciarrino and sisters Mamie Mayerich and Sarah Herndon.
With 35 years of service, Mike retired from Weirton Steel where he was a brick layer in the Mason Department. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, AARP, Four Seasons Senior Citizens and the WSX 25-Year Club. Mike was an avid pool player and enjoyed listening to the music of Frankie Laine.
Mike’s survivors include his wife Shirley (Wenzel) Sciarrino; son Anthony and his wife Debbie; daughters Mickey Fulmer and her husband Jerry, Kim White and her husband Keith, Sherry Swiger and her husband Mark and Vikki Luckino and her husband Sam; sister Lucy Haber all of Weirton and six grandchildren Amanda and Michael Swiger; Jenna, Jessica and Anthony Fulmer and Tony Sciarrino.
Friends will be received Wednesday 7-9PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch presiding. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
