Mildred A. Davis

Mildred A. Davis, of Weirton, went home on May 24, 2001. She was born in Monessen, PA, the daughter of the late William and Martha Randal Assel. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wayne Davis , two brothers William and Edward Assel and a sister Dorothy Dye. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and she attended the Open Door Baptist Church. She is survived by her three sons, Ronald and his wife Ruth Davis of Follansbee, WV; Wayne and his wife Bobbie Davis and Gary Davis all of Weirton. Her two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Pat) Conn of Wintersville, OH and Mrs. Ron (Sharon) Wade of Colliers, WV, survive. Also surviving include her brother, Paul Assel of Sun City Arizona, 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where a celebration of Mildred’s life will be held at 1 PM Saturday, with Pastor Joe Buchanan, officiating. Interment will be in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee.
