mildred marovich
Mildred Marovich, 97, of Weirton, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 in the Park Health Center in St. Clairsville, OH. Born April 26, 1913 in Lafferty, OH, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mitzie Stepanovich Medrich. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Mele Popovich who was killed in World War II and her second husband Nick Marovich on August 8, 1985, brothers Mike, Clyde and Melvin Medrich and her sister Nancy Medrich. Mrs. Marovich retired from the M & K Store in St. Clairsville. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Steubenville, KCC Vidovan and SNF Lodge. Mildred is survived by her niece Kathy Blomquist of Lafferty, OH and nephew Melvin Medrich of Ann Arbor, MI. In keeping with Mildred's wishes, there will be no visitation. Private funeral and interment services will be held at the convenience of Mrs. Marovich's family. V. Rev Fr. Rade Merick will preside.
