Domenica (Minnie) Pazich of Weirton passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was born on January 8, 1938, in Weirton. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Pirraglia) Orecchio. Her sister Mary Rose Orecchio preceded her in 2018. Minnie was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert E. Pazich on August 27, 2023, on their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Minnie graduated from Weir High School and worked for the C&P Telephone Company as an operator.

Minnie was a brilliant seamstress and an accomplished painter. She was an artist of portraits, a performer with a local drama group; the Calendar Girls, a member of the Weirton Woman’s Club, and attended the Art, Garden, and Literary Department meetings. She was a member of several card clubs.

Minnie loved to do crosswords and jigsaw puzzles, visiting the Mary H. Weir Library, and she enjoyed reading.

She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church their senior choir for over thirty years and held the position of vice-president for Saint Joseph’s Christian Mothers.

In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Robert, and brother-in-law Arthur “Butch” Miller.

She is survived by two sisters, Maryann Orecchio of Arlington, VA. Janet Orecchio, brother John (Mary) Orecchio of Owings, MD. Left also to cherish her memory are her children Sharon (Patrick) Weigel of Warrenton, VA., and Mark Pazich of Weirton, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two nieces one great-niece, and three great-nephews.

Minnie was a devoted friend to many and will be missed. She was adamant with her generosity in giving to many Christian organizations.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, from 9:30- 10:00 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Ave, Weirton. Where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
Very Rev. Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr. VE, will preside.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward her funeral arrangements or the Mary H. Weir Library.
