Nadlie J. "Nedgi" Fouty

Nadlie J. “Nedgi” Fouty, 77, of Weirton, passed away Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH. Born July 29, 1928 in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late William 'Vajeo' and Mildred (Devich) Lalich. Nedgi was also preceded in death by her brothers, Sam Lalich, Mike Lalich and Milan “Zion” Dadasovich; sisters, Zora Lalich, and Mary Dadasovich. Nedgi was a former professional model. She was crowned Ms. Hollidays Cove in 1946, and named Ms. Photogenic the same year by the Photographic Society of America. Nedgi was a member of the 1950 Serbian National Championship Basketball Team. She was a former telephone operator, for the C & P Telephone Company, and a licensed beautician. Nedgi most of all was a loving, caring and giving mother. She is survived by her son Roy Lee Fouty and his wife Jennifer of Steubenville, OH; brother Dan Lalich of Steubenville, OH; sisters, Sarah “Sikey”Baltich of Weirton, and Anne Lalich with whom she made her home. Her family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Friday with Very Reverend Father Rade Merick presiding.
