Nancy Gordon Besspiata

Nancy (Gordon) Besspiata, 70, of Carnegie, PA, formerly of Weirton, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 in the Kane Regional Center, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born October 16, 1944 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Lester Martin and Thelma Louise Anderson Barnhart. She was also preceded in death by her son Ryan Christopher Gordon and sister Yvonne Ford. With 47 years of service, Nancy retired from Weirton Medical Center where she worked in Central Supply. She attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a member of AARP. Nancy is survived by her husband Charles (Larry) Besspiata of Carnegie; son Brent John (Francine) Gordon; brothers Lester Barnhart, Jr. of Weirton, Charles (Barbara) Barnhart of Huntersville, NC and Ralph (Joyce) Barnhart of Canfield, OH; sisters Linda (Frank) Pulice of Weirton, Patricia Barnhart of Ambridge, PA, Valerie (Bill) Crowe of Steubenville, OH, Gwendolyn (Dan) Goodman of New Hampshire, Vicky Shay of Belleview, FL, Anita Barnhart and Lori Bado both of Weirton; grandson Brent John Gordon and granddaughter Natalie Gordon. Visitation will be held Thursday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 10am Friday. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 122 South High Street, Morgantown, WV 26501.
