Nancy L. Shipe

Nancy L. Shipe, 65, of Weirton, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born August 27, 1938 in Salem, OH, a daughter of the late Charles G. Dan and Anna (Grove) Dan. Nancy retired with 20 years of service from the Radiology Department of Weirton Medical Center where she worked as an x-ray technician. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the church choir. After retiring Nancy became a volunteer for 5 years at the Weirton Medical Center. She is survived by her husband Hugh “Bill” Shipe of Weirton, whom she married November 26, 1960; one daughter, Dr. Martha A. Urbanski and her husband Dr. Carl Urbanski of Mountaintop, PA; one granddaughter, Emily Urbanski of Mountaintop; and one brother, Charles Dan of Anapolis, MD. There will no visitation. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
