Nancy Rafaiani
December 12, 1914 ~ February 9, 2002
Nancy Rafaiani, 87, formerly of Weirton, died Saturday February 9, 2002 at the Brightwood Nursing Home in Follansbee, WV.
She was born on December 12, 1914 in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Lucia Marchigiani Di Nicola.
Nancy was also preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Rafaiani on September 17, 1991, her twin boys, James and John in 1947, her seven brothers, Salvadore Nichols, Michael, Albert, Joseph, Tony, Campbell and Pete DiNicola, her five sisters, Fannie DiDoMenico, Elizabeth DiNicola, Rose Smarella, Curly DiNicola and Margaret Lavinio.
Nancy was a homemaker, a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, AARP.
Her two sons, Nick Rafiani and his wife Kristin of Wheeling, WV and Gary Rafiani and his wife Sharon of Weirton, her three grandchildren Tonette Pasela, Nicole Valles and Gia Frey, her great granddaughter Savannah Richards, survive.
A memorial service will be held 10 AM Ash Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton

I never met Mrs. Rafaiani, but her son Nick was a very good friend to me years ago when I was going through a horrible time in my life. I will never forget his kindness and guidance. He and his family are in my prayers at this sad time.
