nathaniel elo

Nathaniel Sundance Elo of Weirton passed on September 7, 2023. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend.

Nathan was born on September 14, 1997, in New London, CT, to Brian Elo and Crystal Hammer.

He was a graduate of Weir High School.

Nathan loved fantasy and science fiction and would share the stories he enjoyed with anyone with similar interests.

He was intelligent, caring, supportive, and funny. Always eager to assist someone when asked, he brought cheer
to those he worked alongside. If you knew Nathan, you were blessed.

His family is deeply saddened by his loss. Although he had a turbulent life, we know he is now free from pain.

The absence of his light leaves the world a bit darker, and he will be forever missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention,
afsp.org, or Mental Health America, mhanational.org.

Nathaniel’s request for cremation has been honored.

There are no services planned at this time.

  1. Candle Selection 6Nathaniel was always a joy to work with, he always made everyone smile and he was a good listener. I will miss our talks, and seeing him. It was devastating to hear about his loss. I will miss him dearly, he was one of my favorite co workers. Prayers to him and his family.

  2. I’m so very sorry for your loss, Brian. I have so many memories of him running around the yard or toddling around the house. I’ll never forget your mom showing off his baby picture so proudly or seeing him for the first time. He was an absolutely beautiful baby and a sweet person as an adult.
I pray for you and Pappy, his siblings, and aunts and uncles, and cousins every day. I’m far away these days, but I’m always here if any of you need anything.

  3. Candle Selection 2Prayers & peace to the family. Nate was a wonderful young man. Always a smile for everyone . He was a pleasure to work with. His Walmart family will miss him immensely.

  4. Candle Selection 6I never met Nathaniel in real life. Regardless he left a huge impact on my life. We met eachother online and bonded over similar interests. He’s been one of my closest friends since 2016. I’ll never forget the times we’ve had, the games we’ve played, the series and movies we’ve watched, discussed. Always uplifting, always joked around. The news of his passing came as a shock… I can now only pass my condolences onto his family and friends, and keep his memory alive throughout my entire life. Rest in peace Nathaniel, my dear friend.

  5. Candle Selection 8Nathaniel is a good friend that I met online, the news of his passing is a shock to me, we don’t talk that often and I never met him in real life but the time I had with him are fun, playing online games together and chatting are always delightful. 6. Candle Selection 6Nathaniel has been one my closest friends for as long as I can practically remember. For over a decade we’ve been practically in daily contact over the internet. I find it hard to find words to express how devastating his loss is. He was always there, upbeat and cheerful. He always brightened the world around him and was a joy to have around.
