Nellie M. Pasternak, 90, of Weirton, WV, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born December 16, 1916 in Finleyville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Titus and Anna Fefolt Jaki. Nellie was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Pasternak on June 6, 1994 and brothers Titus and Joseph Jaki. Nellie was a former employee of the Westinghouse Air Brake Division, a homemaker and a member of the Hancock County Senior Citizens Association. Nellie is survived by her sons Greg Pasternak and his wife Linda of Pittsburgh, PA and Gary Pasternak and his wife Beth of Ocean City, NJ; grandchildren Lauren, Brian and Jennifer Pasternak, Michele O’Kane and her husband Joe and great grandson Andrew O’Kane. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11AM Friday, November 2, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Madonna High School, 150 Michael Way, Weirton, WV 26062.   6. Gary, Greg and families; Mrs. Pasternak was a wonderful neighbor and special friend to my grandparents. She aways referred to my grandmother as Mrs. Reed though she is only 3yrs. older than Nellie. I remember her being such an outgoing person, always saying hello, and proud of her family. On behalf of my grandma, parents, and brother, I send you all our deepest regrets and sympathy. Mrs. Pasternak will be sadly missed though remembered through wonderful memories.
