Ora Belle Jones of Weirton passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Weirton Medical Center. She was ninety-two years old.

She was born on July 1, 1931, in Zalia, WV., the daughter of William and Mary Frances Reynolds Williams.

Ora Belle was a constant figure in her family’s life. Her grandchildren enjoyed her cooking and often described her as a sweet woman who loved her family and who enjoyed her relationship with God.

Ora Belle was employed at the Weirton Daily Times for 37 years as an Advertising Type Setter.

Incredibly involved with her church, the Point Pleasant United Methodist Church, Ora Belle was very much the social lite within the congregation. Often planning functions at the church, using her faith as her beacon to accomplish their goals.

In addition to her parents, Ora Belle was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her son Gregory Jones, and her brothers Raymond and William Williams.

Left to cherish her fond memory with love and admiration are her grandchildren, Shelley Zimmerman and her fiancé James, Jessica Jones-Reid and her husband Chris, Kelsey Sizemore and her husband Devin, Gregory Jones, Jr. and his fiancé Jessica Davidson, and her great-grandchildren, Peyton Zimmerman, Elijah Zimmerman, Caiden Kremian, Jaycee Reid-Jones, Violet Sizemore, Presley Sizemore, Jamison Jones and Jaxon Jones.

Ora Belle’s request for cremation has been honored.

She will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
