Tex and I worked together at the Weirton Steel Construction Department from May 1965 through August 1969. Tex was a wonderful, supportive, kind and generous friend. After the Mill I moved on and made my career on the East Coast. I returned in 2003 and visited his church. He was so very happy to show me around. I took some pictures of Tex in 1968 in the Mill and would like to share them with the family. Please contact me at psontag@aol.com. Peter – my mill name was: Even Dozen Pete

To the Burns Family, What a legacy your father has left. I felt his presence recently at the presentation of Weirton’s African-American history. His spirit was once again felt during my Thanksgiving dinner at the Senior Center. I will miss sharing bread with him at the Feed the Need meals. Just remember your father was needed in Heaven for the holidays. He has gone before us to open the gate for us. Sending my prayers along as I am unable to attend the services due to work commintment.
