Patricia Ann Granato, 78, of Weirton died Saturday February 16, 2019, at Trinity Medical Center West, in Steubenville, OH
A daughter of the late Richard S. and Winifred C Brewer Parks, Patricia was born on September 20, 1940, in Steubenville, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Richard Granato in 1968; and her brother, Lt. Commander, Richard Earl Parks, who was killed in 1967, serving as a pilot in the United States Navy.
Patricia will be remembered as an avid reader, who loved and enjoyed her family.
In her free time she traced and recorded her family’s genealogy. She looked forward to completing the crossword puzzles in the Sunday papers. A sports fan, Patricia enjoyed watching the Pirates, Steelers, Mountaineers, Penn State, Naval Academy and the Weir High Red Riders. Most of all Patty was excited about being a great grandmother to her great grandson, Mac who will be arriving in May of 2019.
She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, and the Model A. Ford Antique Club.
She will be remembered with love by her husband, Charles Michael Granato, whom she married on August 23, 1958; her son, Michael J. and Amy Granato of Weirton, WV; her sister, Wilma Jean Pugh of Sewickley, PA; and her step grandchildren, Patrick (Leah) Reasbeck, and Mikala (Andrew Jones) Reasbeck; sister in law, Diane LaPosta of Fort Myers, FL; nephews, Richard (Darla) Parks, Steven (Kathy) Parks, Kenneth (Nancy) Pugh, , Richard LaPosta; nieces, Suzanne(David Knorr) Parks, Natalie Geyer, Kimberly (Tim) Brenneman, Kerri (Hal) Gantt, and Shauna (Bill) Killian; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton
Entombment will follow at Saint Paul’s Cemetery Mausoleum.

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. When someone we love dies, it’s natural to want to see that person again.
