patricia watzman
Patricia Dick Watzman passed away peacefully on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 76 years old. She was born June 24, 1944, in LaFollette, Tennessee, one of four children, to the late Kenneth Maxwell and Edith Hewitt Dick. Patricia moved to Weirton, WV, with her family in early childhood, attending the Hancock County School System, a member of the Weir High School graduating class of 1963. She was employed with People’s Bank and Wesbanco for twenty-seven years. She married Mr. Bruce Watzman on May 8, 1983; they were married for thirty-eight years. Patricia was an incredibly giving person, her life’s motto to always think of other people first. Her creativity shined in the kitchen, and she was equally meticulous with a needle and thread. Always thinking of others, all her creations were made to share with friends and family. She ruled the kitchen with an ability to put the Cake Boss to shame. The attention to detail she displayed was immediately apparent, down to the blades of grass around the base of her gingerbread houses. Patricia loved nature. You could find her watching nature shows, and out in her garden, appreciating nature, or enjoying the delicate details of the world through trees, elephants, gorillas, and especially butterflies. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers Roger and Donald Dick. Cherishing her memory are her husband, Bruce Watzman of Weirton, son, Patrick Watzman of Queens, NY., and sister Carol Bohach-Armenise of Benton, KY. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, 26062. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. If you knew and loved her, and would like to honor her memory, the family requests you make a donation in her name to either the Arbor Day Foundation (arborday.org) or the World Wildlife Fund (worldwildlife.org).
