Patricia K. Gallagher, 78, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born September 4, 1934 in Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Fullen and Mary Kenny Fullen Wylie. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Jack Gallagher, her sisters Mary Henry and Jo Ann Andochick; a step son Brent Capozzoli. Ms. Gallagher received her Doctorate Degree from Ohio State University. During her career she worked at Steubenville Big Red, spear-headed the Head Start Program, in Steubenville, was a vice-principal in Las Vegas, and a professor at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. She is survived by her sons John (Cathy) Gallagher of Moon Township, PA and Timothy (Karen) Gallagher of Weirton; daughters Terri (Todd Peterson) Malinowski of Las Vegas, NV, Tracy (John Ohalek) Thomas of Weirton and Colleen (Mike) Wright of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren MaKenzie Gallagher, Rachael and Joseph Malinowski, Taylor Thomas, Meaghan, Michael II, Jacque'line and Danielle Wright and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Quatrocchi, and her significant other, William Capozzoli and his son William.. Visitation will be held Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Weirton Geriatric Center, 2525 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062. Patricia's family would like to take this opportunity to thank Rhonda and Geno Quatrocchi and the staff of the Alzheimer's Unit for the loving devoted care given their mother.
