Patrick Law, 56 of Weirton, a remarkable individual who defied the odds and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him, passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2024. Patrick was a beacon of pure love, laughter, and kindness.
Born to Robert L. and Mary T. Redway Law, Sr. Patrick faced life’s challenges with an unwavering spirit. He embraced every day with a smile and an enduring sense of grace. His positive attitude was contagious, uplifting those around him and proving that the human spirit can triumph over adversity.
Patrick had an infectious sense of humor that could brighten the darkest days. His love for jokes and his ability to make others smile were unparalleled. Patrick’s playful nature extended to his love for flirting. His charm and lighthearted banter endeared him to many, leaving a trail of smiles wherever he went. His ability to connect with others through humor and genuine affection created lasting bonds and friendships.
With his caring and compassionate spirit, Patrick touched the hearts of many with his genuine warmth and concern for others. He was a pillar of support, always ready to lend a helping hand or ear.
One of Patrick’s greatest joys in life was dancing, and he had a special fondness for the electric slide. His rhythmic movements and infectious enthusiasm turned ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
Elvis and Snoopy held special places in Patrick’s heart. His love for the King’s music and the timeless charm of Snoopy brought him immense happiness.
He enjoyed going with Kathy and Tom on Disney cruises, where he experienced the magic and wonder of the world in the company of his family.
Patrick had a profound devotion to the Blessed Mother. He nourished his faith as a parishioner at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, He also served as an altar server with Fr. Tony at Saint Paul’s Church.
Patrick enjoyed working at the Hancock County Workshop, and later at the Hancock Opportunity Center.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Tom) Hirkala, and his brother, Robert L. Law, Jr, and the many friends he made along the way.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 PM until 7 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Saturday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue Weirton, WV.
Fr. Tony Thurston will preside.
He will be laid to rest at Saint Paul’s Cemetery Mausoleum.
Patrick’s family would like to thank Rhonda Quatrocchi and the Weirton Geriatric Center nurses and staff of the third floor Enchanted Gardens for the outstanding care they provided for Patrick. Your love for Patrick will always be remembered in our hearts.

Kathy and Tom, we are so saddened by Patrick’s death. He was such a wonderful brother and you two helped make his life extra happy. You had so many special memories together. Tom and I pray for his soul and for your consolation. Only wish we could be there with you during this tender time.
