Patsy Patriarca

Patsy Patriarca, 78, of Weirton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 04, 2006.
Born May 7, 1928, in Basciano Teramo Italy, he was the son of the late Silvestro and Caterina D’Evangelista Patriarca. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Annunziata Patriarca.
Patsy started his career working for Joseph Tairiol, and Tony P. Sellitti Construction, and he retired from the Carpenter Local Union No. 186.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church.
Patsy’s survivors include his wife, Mary (Perfetti) Patriarca, of Weirton, whom he married January 26, 1957; daughters, Rina Pate, and her husband Dr. Wesley Pate, of Weirton, Dr. Joan Cecchini, and her husband Dr. Aurelio Cecchini, of Uniontown, PA, and Catherine Patriarca, of Morgantown, WV; sister, Adalgisa Marrone of Basciano, Teramo, Italy; three grandchildren, Stephanie Pate, Anthony and Michael Cecchini.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10:30AM Thursday, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer presiding.
Entombment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of Patsy’s passing. He was a very kind and compassionate gentleman who helped me in many, many ways over the years. I will never forget him or his gentle manner. My condolences to the Patriarca Family.
My deepest sympathies to the entire family. Patsy was a great neighbor and friend. He always kept an immaculate home, lawn and garden, and yet always had time to help if asked. In the 35+ years I knew him, I can’t recall a time when he was mad or upset about anything. We’ve lost a great man today.

Dear Cathy, Joan, Aurelio, Anthony & Michael, We love you; and, we share your sadness. Yet, it is of great comfort to know that Patsy is now present with the Lord. Life is short; and, you shall be reunited with Patsy soon. Together, we shall all rejoice in the presence of Jesus forever. Sorry for your loss. He is in my prayers. Patsy’s Father IN Law was a very close friend of my father and mother-Alpino & Ida Trentini. I workd with Patsy for a couple of summers while I was going to school. Very sorry for your loss.
I pray God’s peace and comfort fill your heart. Because of my experience with Patsy’s daughters, Joan & Cathy at Abundant Life Church, I can tell that Patsy must have been a great father to raise such wonderful daughters. “The Lord Bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
