Pauline Hughes Porter Bradley, 82, of Weirton, died Friday, November 14, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on February 9, 1921 in Toronto, OH, a daughter of the late Stephen and Gertrude McCuean Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Porter; her second husband, Leo F. Bradley; two brothers, Edward and Donald Hughes; and two sisters, Bernadine Wolford and Lillian Davidson. Pauline attended St. Francis School and graduated from Toronto High School. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, St. Paul’s Christian Mothers, CHIRP #27 group at St. Paul’s, Lions Club, and a member and past president of the Weirton Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary, Dandelions Twig, and a volunteer for the Weirton Medical Center. Pauline lived in Mingo for 31 years and during that time she was a member of St. Agnes, a band mother and past president, member and past president of the Junior and Senior Women’s Club, a Brownie Scout leader, and a member of the PTA. She is survived by two daughters, Carol C. Porter (Jerald) Hays of Mineola, TX and Linda K. Applegate (Wilson) Cole of Weirton; two step-sons, Michael F. (Pat) Bradley and Robert L. Bradley; one step-daughter, Debra (George) Mentzer; two sisters, Dolores “Nunny” Byrd and Margaret “June” Sokol, both of Toronto; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV where a prayer service will be held 7 PM Monday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Burial will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery, New Alexandria, OH.
