Peter G. Volosin

Peter G. Volosin, 85, of Clermont, FL, formerly of Weirton, WV, died Sunday September 11, 2011. Born on July 2, 1926 to the late Charles and Mary Fedor Volosin, Pete grew up on Elm Street in Weirton and graduated from Weir High School in 1944. He attended Steubenville Business College prior to serving in the United States Navy for two years. Pete eventually moved to California and was employed with Boeing, where he worked on the NASA Space Shuttles from 1960 until his retirement in 1991.When he was not working Pete could be found playing a round of golf or tending to his fruit trees. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew, Charles, John, and Joe Volosin; a sister, Anna Granger, and a grandson Daniel Herrejon. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Volosin; two sons, David (Julie) Volosin and Thomas Volosin; a daughter, Teresa (Jaime) Herrejon; brothers, George and Mike Volosin; sisters, Helen Orenzuk and Mary Evans; four grandchildren, Michael, Taylor, Sofia, and Sammy, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services and Burial will take place on Friday September 16, 2011 in Leesburg, FL.
