Philip J. D'Andrea, 69, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. Born May 12, 1938 in Steubenville, OH, he was the son of the late Philip "Tippy" and Mary Galownia D'Andrea. Philip was also preceded in death by his brother Patrick "Pat" D'Andrea. In 1999, with 41 years of service, Philip retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a Feeder on the Galvanized Line. He was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the WSX 25-Year Club. Philip was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fishing on Pymatuning Lake in Ohio. Philip is survived by his wife Marlene Altomare D'Andrea of Weirton, whom he married October 11, 1958; sons Michael "Mickey" D'Andrea and his wife Candace of Toronto, OH and Robert "Bob" D'Andrea of Weirton; daughters Debbie D'Andrea of Weirton and Lori Dillon and her husband Ed of Colliers, WV and 6 grandchildren William Michael, Sheena Marie, Kendal, Ashley D'Andrea and Edward Jr. and Brandon Dillon. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
